Reggae-Soul Songstress Sycorah Makes International Gains with Rustique-Energy!

Jamaica-based Reggae-Soul songstress Sycorah makes international gains with the release of her debut album Rustique-Energy.  The 11-track disc, produced by Delroy Pottinger attracts fans to her sound, raising Sycorah’s profile. International support for Sycorah’s sound began in 2018 when she performed for the BBC 1Xtra audience by way of a broadcast filmed at Big Yard Studios in Kingston.  At that time, the Reggae-Soul songstress performed “Undercover Lover” convincing listeners that her artistry deserved support.  Not long after, she partnered with Elijah Salmon from OneCamp Records who produced “Tell Me How You Feel.”  Through that release, Sycorah gained fans in Switzerland (home base for OneCamp Records), the U.S. and Canada.

Since the release of her album Rustique-Energy, veteran broadcaster David Rodigan describes the album as “a beautiful creation that perfectly reflects her passion for music and her unique vocal styling.  She has beautiful and original songwriting skills. We are big fans of Sycorah here at BBC.” Broadcaster MixmasterJ adds that “Rustique-Energy is filled with surprises.  The moment I heard her voice I knew she would connect with listeners.  Sycorah’s voice is powerful.”

According to Spotify, Sycorah’s fans streamed her music and added her to playlists across the platform.  As an upcoming artist, Sycorah is pleased with her success and is determined to add to it in 2021. Since her album release, Sycorah’s following has increased, including searches for her on Shazam.  The popular app, which helps fans identify the names of artists when music is played, reveals that Sycorah’s most searched songs are “Skin,” “Undercover Lover” and “Revolution;” all three titles are available on her album Rustique-Energy. “Revolution” is the newest focus-track from the album.  It was written at a time when Sycorah struggled to understand why there is a disconnection between this generation and why there is so much hate in humanity.  Despite the difficulties, “Revolution” reverses the negative with optimism that this generation can be the spark for a change!
